Marlon Wells sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Guy Vassell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Forrest Evans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guy Vassell in the 7th minute of the match. Forrest Evans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marlon Wells in the 9th minute of play. London Colney FC's Guy Vassell got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Marlon Wells cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Forrest Evans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglas Football Club's Forrest Evans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Vassell in the 24th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Rueben Fenton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Douglas Football Club and the London Colney FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Douglas Football Club's Rueben Fenton got a free kick in the 27th minute. A collision led to Douglas Football Club getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ivan McDonald hit a great ball. Donald Seward was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ivan McDonald hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Marlon Wells sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guy Vassell took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Forrest Evans. Forrest Evans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Calvin Howard hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The Douglas Football Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. London Colney FC were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guy Vassell to make the kick off. When Kirk Major fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored London Colney FC's protests and gave Kirk Major a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to London Colney FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Kirk Major hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the match, Douglas Football Club's Peter George broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Marlon Wells struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Forrest Evans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for London Colney FC. Guy Vassell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Forrest Evans having to make a save. Guy Vassell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Forrest Evans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marlon Wells sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute, Guy Vassell fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Forrest Evans, passed just outside the right post. In the 82nd play minute Marlon Wells came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Forrest Evans. 0-4. Kieran Blair took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scott Little, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. London Colney FC played a much better game than Douglas Football Club and deserved their victory. The Douglas Football Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
