Spectators: 8414 (Terracing: 6311, Seating: 1935, VIP seats: 168) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Scott Little took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Romeo Metcalf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Ashton in the 8th minute of play forced Douglas Football Club's goalkeeper Forrest Evans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Douglas Football Club getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Peter George hit a great ball. Scott Little fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivor Browning having to interfere. Keith Hazledine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Forrest Evans having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Keith Hazledine fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Warminster's Romeo Metcalf slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Forrest Evans. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. In the 29th minute, Lucas Laurie made a precise shot to the right of Ivor Browning. Warminster's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When Romeo Metcalf came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Warminster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Metcalf couldn't finish the play. Romeo Metcalf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dave Ashton struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Forrest Evans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Warminster. With a little luck, Douglas Football Club's Forrest Evans got control of the ball when Keith Hazledine tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Metcalf might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Forrest Evans. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeo Metcalf ran back to his position shaking his head. Lucas Laurie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Keith Hazledine made a kick off. The supporters of Warminster booed when Douglas Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan McDonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dave Ashton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Warminster's Ivor Browning proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Warminster from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Warminster's zone, Lucas Laurie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivor Browning came out of the goal and Lucas Laurie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucas Laurie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivor Browning was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Scott Little showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 70 minute of play. Forrest Evans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith Hazledine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the match, Dave Ashton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Forrest Evans. Douglas Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dave Ashton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Romeo Metcalf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Forrest Evans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Warminster's goal looked a bit too open when Scott Little came free, but Ivor Browning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Keith Hazledine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Forrest Evans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dave Ashton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Forrest Evans came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Warminster's Romeo Metcalf. But to his dismay, Romeo Metcalf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. When Keith Hazledine came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Warminster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keith Hazledine couldn't finish the play. If Keith Hazledine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
