Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Barry Monk got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Levenshulme's goalkeeper Lee Frost had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Barry Bell Burnell. Brian Castledine kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Barry Monk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barry Monk in the 28th minute of play forced Levenshulme's goalkeeper Lee Frost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barry Bell Burnell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Lee Frost when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lee Frost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barry Monk in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Barry Monk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lee Frost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. UK United's Barry Monk got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Barry Bell Burnell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lee Frost was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Harvey Hume. 42 minutes into the game, Ben Hoult was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Levenshulme's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UK United the free kick. After 42 played minutes Levenshulme got a freekick which was hit by Ben Hoult. Barry Bell Burnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Derek Nightingale's late challenge caught a UK United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Derek Nightingale helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Levenshulme getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Derek Nightingale hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Seth Hoskins to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Barry Monk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lee Frost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barry Monk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Lee Frost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Castledine charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brian Castledine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Brian Castledine hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, Barry Monk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lee Frost. Levenshulme's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barry Monk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in UK United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Lee Frost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Rundell in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barry Bell Burnell in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lee Frost saved Levenshulme from getting behind. Barry Monk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jon Browning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seth Hoskins in the 85th minute of play. When UK United's Barry Monk in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Levenshulme's goalie prevented a goal. UK United's Brian Castledine got his second yellow card of the match in the 94th minute. The referee ordered Brian Castledine off the ground. In the 97th minute, Tim Clayton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 98th minute of the match Steven Haley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jon Browning skillfully saved the ball.
