After 17 played minutes Levenshulme got a freekick which was hit by Ben Hoult. Seth Hoskins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Al Baum having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Corby's zone, Philip Baum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Al Baum came out of the goal and Philip Baum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute Derek Nightingale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Al Baum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jordan Downes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Lee Frost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Philip Baum put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Al Baum. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Seth Hoskins was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Seth Hoskins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Levenshulme's supporters crossed their fingers, but Seth Hoskins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The shot was a little too simple and Lee Frost could save by the left post. Seth Hoskins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Levenshulme were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Corby for a fine match.
