Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Colo-Colo's Vic Theobald started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Antony Jennings hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Vic Theobald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Louis Cheeseman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Neil Langdon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Black Team's goal looked a bit too open when Vic Theobald came free, but Louis Cheeseman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Colo-Colo's Vic Theobald got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mark Haskell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Black Team's Louis Cheeseman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Black Team from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the game, Neil Langdon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Louis Cheeseman. Neil Langdon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ron Martin kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mark Haskell made a kick off. Vic Theobald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Louis Cheeseman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Langdon in the 57th minute of play forced Black Team's goalkeeper Louis Cheeseman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Black Team's Louis Cheeseman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Langdon in the 60th minute of play. Louis Cheeseman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vic Theobald, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Mark Haskell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Black Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Haskell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maurice Stockley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Black Team's Louis Cheeseman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vic Theobald in the 79th minute of play. Louis Cheeseman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Langdon in the 84th minute of play. Mark Haskell hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Vic Theobald took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Louis Cheeseman. Louis Cheeseman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Colo-Colo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Black Team for a fine match.
