Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Callington City's Liam Sheringham started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Callington City's Dominic Medlin got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Netherton's Cody Griffiths played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomas Beale in the 6th minute of play. After 7 played minutes, Callington City's Rob Farrell shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cody Griffiths came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Callington City reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominic Medlin got free with Cody Griffiths in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherton's goalkeeper Cody Griffiths, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cody Griffiths made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dominic Medlin in the 19th minute. If Dominic Medlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Netherton's goal looked a bit too open when Liam Sheringham came free, but Cody Griffiths reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Netherton got a freekick which was hit by Robert Kellaway. If Dominic Medlin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Dominic Medlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liam Sheringham in the 58th minute of play forced Netherton's goalkeeper Cody Griffiths to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liam Sheringham struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Cody Griffiths didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Callington City. Liam Sheringham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dominic Medlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cody Griffiths tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Netherton's zone, Dominic Medlin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cody Griffiths came out of the goal and Dominic Medlin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Liam Sheringham recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Callington City booed when Netherton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Kellaway didn't get a good kick on the ball. Callington City's Dominic Medlin got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liam Sheringham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cody Griffiths having to interfere. Cody Griffiths made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Newell in the 82nd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Netherton's goal looked a bit too open when Liam Sheringham came free, but Cody Griffiths reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dominic Medlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cody Griffiths took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominic Medlin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 94 minutes into the match, Netherton's goal looked a bit too open when Liam Sheringham came free, but Cody Griffiths reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
