Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Seth Hoskins took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd match minute, Colo-Colo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guy Neeson to maneuver through the defense. Seth Hoskins charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seth Hoskins the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Maurice Stockley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seth Hoskins in the 6th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes Levenshulme got a freekick which was hit by Derek Nightingale. Lee Frost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vic Theobald in the 13th minute of play. After 17 minutes of play, Levenshulme's Philip Baum made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurice Stockley was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Vic Theobald, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 25 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Lee Frost was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Neil Langdon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Langdon in the 35th minute of play forced Levenshulme's goalkeeper Lee Frost to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronnie Askew's late challenge caught a Colo-Colo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronnie Askew helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Levenshulme's Ronnie Askew got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Neil Langdon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 46 minutes, Neil Langdon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colo-Colo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Neil Langdon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maurice Stockley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Baum, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neil Langdon made a kick off. If Philip Baum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neil Langdon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lee Frost having to interfere. When Philip Baum came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Levenshulme fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Philip Baum couldn't finish the play. When Martin Collins fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Colo-Colo's protests and gave Martin Collins a yellow card for diving instead. Martin Collins kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Seth Hoskins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Walter Downing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurice Stockley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Baum, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Neil Langdon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colo-Colo's supporters rose to their feet, but Neil Langdon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lee Frost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Levenshulme's Tom Ferdinand got a free kick in the 76th minute. Seth Hoskins blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maurice Stockley having to make a save. 88 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Baum came free, but Maurice Stockley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Derek Nightingale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 92 minutes of play, Levenshulme's Philip Baum made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurice Stockley was left in no man's land by his defense there! Philip Baum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Seth Hoskins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Levenshulme fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Colo-Colo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
