Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reuben Lowndes started the match with the kick off. Stevie Nesbitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 7th minute, Reuben Lowndes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rufus Whittaker was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 10th minute, Stevie Nesbitt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harry Pugh in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danny Waltham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 18 minutes into the match, Dalton In Furness's goalkeeper Rufus Whittaker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stevie Nesbitt. Stevie Nesbitt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rufus Whittaker came out and tried to block the shot, but Stevie Nesbitt slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 21st minute. Huey Rothwell hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Thamesmead's Danny Waltham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Pugh in the 31st minute of play. Reuben Lowndes was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Thamesmead's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Stevie Nesbitt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Rufus Whittaker when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Reuben Lowndes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rufus Whittaker having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Leroy McCormick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thamesmead and the Dalton In Furness players grew even worse after the yellow card. 43 minutes into the game, one of Thamesmead:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Andy Allen shot the penalty kick right outside the post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harry Pugh to strike the kick off in the second half. Rufus Whittaker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reuben Lowndes, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Harry Pugh did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-1 to the left of a surprised Danny Waltham 55 minutes into the match. Rufus Whittaker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stevie Nesbitt in the 58th minute of the match. Reuben Lowndes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rufus Whittaker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Stevie Nesbitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Dalton In Furness getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Andy Allen hit a great ball. When Fred Chiverton came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Thamesmead fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fred Chiverton couldn't finish the play. Rufus Whittaker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reuben Lowndes's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. David Basham's late challenge caught a Thamesmead's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Basham helped the player get up and apologised. David Basham kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Thamesmead got a freekick which was hit by Keiran Bloomfield. Dalton In Furness's Rufus Whittaker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stevie Nesbitt in the 74th minute of play. If Graeme Healy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Dalton In Furness booed when Thamesmead was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Hurdle didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Thamesmead's Danny Waltham got control of the ball when Graeme Healy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rufus Whittaker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reuben Lowndes in the 96th minute of the match. Thamesmead's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
