After 12 played minutes Bromley got a freekick which was hit by Louis Paisley. Jack Fairbanks short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got George Myers to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Jack Fairbank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Jack Fairbank got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Steve Sharples could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but George Myers made a huge save. 30 minutes into the match, Wolverhampton's Jack Fairbank sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that George Myers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeff Kay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jack Fairbank in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Myers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Wolverhampton booed when Bromley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ash Baum didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Jack Fairbank got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Drew Donaldson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without George Myers having to make a save. After 41 minutes, Jack Fairbank made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Bromley's George Myers tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The referee ignored Bromley's protests and gave Donny Wardman a yellow card for diving instead. Donny Wardman hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Steve Sharples managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolverhampton's supporters rose to their feet, but Steve Sharples was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George Myers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 89 minutes of play, Wolverhampton's Jack Fairbank made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. George Myers was left in no man's land by his defense there!
