Rodd Delamore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe McAliskey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ray Henry made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alec Milburn in the 28th minute. Alec Milburn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ray Henry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alec Milburn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ray Henry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Holt in the 37th minute of the match. After 39 minutes of play, Pirroni-cum-Moze United's Theo Charles made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodd Delamore was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Alec Milburn got free with Ray Henry in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Travis Schofield charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Travis Schofield the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th minute, one of Shrewsbury AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Shrewsbury AFC. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Pirroni-cum-Moze United's Ray Henry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Holt in the 54th minute of play. Alec Milburn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ray Henry read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. Ray Henry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alec Milburn, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Theo Charles kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rodd Delamore. That made the score 1-2 in the 69 minute of play. Alec Milburn scored 2-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ray Henry , who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th match minute, Pirroni-cum-Moze United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chaz Hassell to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute of the match Alistair Ingham sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ray Henry skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Shrewsbury AFC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ivor Garrett hit a great ball. Pirroni-cum-Moze United's Ray Henry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alec Milburn in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Brian Galway notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Pirroni-cum-Moze United's Ray Henry . Ray Henry was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
