Jacob Meehan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Will Pitts made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in Ilkeston's zone, CJ Bush stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Ripley came out of the goal and CJ Bush tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Jane Trimble managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ilkeston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jane Trimble was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tristan Hird hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Jordan Salt kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Jacob Meehan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 87thth minute of the game James Little who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 1967 Kingswood's Will Pitts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the game, James Little cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Will Pitts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind 1967 Kingswood's goalkeeper Will Pitts, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ilkeston walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
