Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 4 minutes, Tommy Nightingale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Droylsden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Nightingale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 7 played minutes, Droylsden's Phil Galway shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dave Tomelty came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Droylsden reached it. Jeff Yeo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dave Tomelty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Nightingale in the 13th minute of the match. Sly Auckland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matty Batty in the 15th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Tony Swinscoe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Droylsden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave North Force FC the free kick. Tony Swinscoe kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Tommy Nightingale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Tomelty having to interfere. Dave Tomelty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy Nightingale in the 31st minute of play. If Austen Briant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeff Yeo in the 36th minute of play forced Droylsden's goalkeeper Sly Auckland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. North Force FC's Dave Tomelty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Nightingale in the 42nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Droylsden's Jimmy Swain got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Carl Tate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matty Batty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeff Yeo was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Tommy Nightingale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, Tony Swinscoe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Tommy Nightingale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Droylsden's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Nightingale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dave Tomelty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Austen Briant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute Austen Briant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Tomelty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Nightingale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dave Tomelty having to make a save. In the 74th minute, Droylsden's Austen Briant dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 79th minute, Jeff Yeo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 81 minutes, Tommy Nightingale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Droylsden's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Nightingale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, North Force FC's Matty Batty sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sly Auckland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dave Tomelty was a little too slow when Austen Briant got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 1-2. Tony Swinscoe kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Droylsden walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
