Dave Tomelty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl Lewis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. North Force FC's Matty Batty got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of North Force FC booed when Hextable City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Braithwaite didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jeff Yeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jeff Yeo came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the North Force FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeff Yeo couldn't finish the play.
