Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Peter Duxbury fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Force FC's protests and gave Peter Duxbury a yellow card for diving instead. Peter Duxbury kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Johnnie Skipton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redditch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johnnie Skipton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 6 played minutes North Force FC got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Crommelin. In the 7th minute Steven Blueman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Tomelty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matty Batty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrew Postolan having to interfere. In the 12th match minute, Redditch was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paddy Langford to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Matty Batty got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Matty Battys short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Andrew Postolan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeff Yeo in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrew Postolan saved Redditch from getting behind. Dave Tomelty took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven Blueman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Jeff Yeo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andrew Postolan. That made the score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. If Bob Theobald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Jeff Yeo managed to get in a good position for a shot. North Force FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jeff Yeo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrew Postolan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dave Tomelty made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Theobald in the 38th minute of play. If Steven Blueman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bob Theobald was the one to do the kick off. Bob Theobald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Tomelty having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeff Yeo in the 56th minute of play forced Redditch's goalkeeper Andrew Postolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dave Tomelty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steven Blueman in the 68th minute. After 71 minutes of play, Redditch's Steven Blueman made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dave Tomelty was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bob Theobald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dave Tomelty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute Jeff Yeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Postolan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Johnny Crommelin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 84 played minutes North Force FC got a freekick which was hit by Johnny Crommelin. The audience thought a goal was coming when Steven Blueman got free with Dave Tomelty in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jeff Yeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steven Blueman struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Dave Tomelty didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Redditch. After having played for 92 minutes, Bob Theobald managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Redditch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bob Theobald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute Bob Theobald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Tomelty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Redditch left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than North Force FC.
