Dave Tomelty showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romeo Donaghy, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Romeo Donaghy took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dave Tomelty to make any attempt to save it. Marc Poyntons short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Dave Tomelty to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Marc Poynton got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dave Tomelty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Donaghy in the 31st minute of the match. Marc Poynton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Dave Tomelty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Tatsfield FC booed when North Force FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Farmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dave Tomelty was a little too slow when Marc Poynton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 40th minute. The score was now 2-0. Marc Poynton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 48 minutes, Eamonn Healy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Force FC and the Tatsfield FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th match minute, North Force FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eamonn Healy to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romeo Donaghy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, North Force FC's Hayden Ashton got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in North Force FC's zone, Marc Poynton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Tomelty came out of the goal and Marc Poynton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to North Force FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Johnny Crommelin hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Romeo Donaghy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dave Tomelty was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. If Marc Poynton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in North Force FC's zone, Romeo Donaghy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Tomelty came out of the goal and Romeo Donaghy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 minutes of play, Tatsfield FC's Romeo Donaghy made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dave Tomelty was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matty Batty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Carl Robertson made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marc Poynton in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dave Tomelty prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind North Force FC's goalkeeper Dave Tomelty, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Romeo Donaghy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97thth minute of the game Romeo Donaghy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but North Force FC's Dave Tomelty was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There was no doubt that Tatsfield FC were the better team. Tatsfield FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
