Spectators: 6944 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 0) Garth Carter started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Garth Carter fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Catford's Ash Gibson got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 8 in the game by Ash Gibson from a close distance when the talented Dave Tomelty managed to make a qualified save. North Force FC's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matty Batty in the 12th minute of play forced Catford's goalkeeper Stan Smythe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernard Ramsden charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernard Ramsden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Stephen Holt 's late challenge caught a North Force FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stephen Holt helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Catford! Ash Gibson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the game, Johnny Crommelin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. North Force FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catford the free kick. In the 28th minute, Stephen Holt sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and North Force FC's Dave Tomelty didn't even have to move. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garth Carter in the 30th minute of play forced North Force FC's goalkeeper Dave Tomelty to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Brett Galloway came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Catford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brett Galloway couldn't finish the play. Garth Carter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Garth Carter came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Catford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garth Carter couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeff Yeo made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Ash Gibson made a precise shot to the right of Dave Tomelty. North Force FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Jeff Yeo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Stan Smythe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stan Smythe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeff Yeo, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Ash Gibson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catford's supporters rose to their feet, but Ash Gibson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dave Tomelty breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dave Tomelty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garth Carter in the 65th minute of the match. After 74 minutes of play, Catford's Brett Galloway made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dave Tomelty was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to North Force FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Hayden Ashton hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Stephen Holt sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and North Force FC's Dave Tomelty didn't even have to move. 84 minutes into the match, Catford's goal looked a bit too open when Jeff Yeo came free, but Stan Smythe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 minutes, Lance Budden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Force FC and the Catford players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Ash Gibson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eamonn Healy during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Eamonn Healy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
