Rupert Batty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Church having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Bramhall FC's Ryan Kennedy threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gus McGuinness, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gus McGuinness sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the match, Gus McGuinness dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ryan Kennedy, 1-0. Craig Rhodes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Darren Church tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darren Church made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liam Bannister in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Bramhall FC's goalkeeper Darren Church , but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Liam Bannister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Church having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Craig Rhodes in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darren Church saved Bramhall FC from getting behind. The supporters of Bramhall FC booed when Kimpton AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Liam Bannister didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Liam Bannister stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Bramhall FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. John Downey hit a great ball. In the 57th minute Jason Pickering managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Darren Church took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liam Bannister, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute Gus McGuinness shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryan Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gus McGuinness in the 75th minute of play forced Kimpton AFC's goalkeeper Ryan Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rupert Batty kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Liam Bannister was extremely unlucky when he, in the 87th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Craig Rhodes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Kimpton AFC's zone, Gus McGuinness stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ryan Kennedy came out of the goal and Gus McGuinness tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Many of Kimpton AFC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Kimpton AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Bramhall FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
