An unexpectedly hard shot by Charles Barber in the 30th minute of play forced Grindelwald Academy's goalkeeper Mickey Brontë to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mickey Brontë showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Barber, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Ronnie Radcliffe's late challenge caught a Croston's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronnie Radcliffe helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Grindelwald Academy getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ronnie Radcliffe hit a great ball. Jake Garnett kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Jon Bull took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eddie Allison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Croston's zone, Tristan Durrant stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jon Bull came out of the goal and Tristan Durrant tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Eddie Allison dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jon Bull, 3-0. Eddie Allison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jon Bull read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Grindelwald Academy's Eddie Allison sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jon Bull narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eddie Allison was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Ged Irvine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Bull saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 minutes of play, Grindelwald Academy's Harry Trotter made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jon Bull was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ged Irvine sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Ronnie Radcliffe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grindelwald Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronnie Radcliffe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jon Bull breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Grindelwald Academy booed when Croston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Garnett didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Eddie Allison notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Croston's Jon Bull. Jon Bull was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eddie Allison struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Jon Bull didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grindelwald Academy. After having played for 86 minutes, Eddie Allison managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grindelwald Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eddie Allison was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute of the match Kyle Frost sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jon Bull skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eddie Allison in the 89th minute of play forced Croston's goalkeeper Jon Bull to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Harry Trotter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grindelwald Academy walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
