Billie Brontë charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Billie Brontë the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lincoln United's Billie Brontë got a free kick in the 39th minute. Liam Bannister scored 0-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Doug Ashworth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

55 minutes into the match, Kimpton AFC's Liam Bannister sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doug Ashworth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Doug Ashworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liam Bannister, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute.
