After a rather tough play, Lincoln United's Charlie Dobbs got a free kick in the 33rd minute. BELFAST FC's Rudi Birken couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lincoln United. Dennis Lawton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Doug Ashworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Lawton, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Perry Hermon scored 0-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Peter Banks, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute, Perry Hermon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
