In the 9th minute Ronnie Radcliffe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Banks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Grindelwald Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tristan Durrant to maneuver through the defense. Peter Banks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Allison in the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Eddie Allison notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of BELFAST FC's Peter Banks. Peter Banks was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Grindelwald Academy were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eddie Allison to strike the kick off in the second half. Harry Trotter was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Eddie Allison's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Banks read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. With his leg Peter Banks managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Grindelwald Academy's Eddie Allison fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Eddie Allisons short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Peter Banks to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 87th minute, Ged Irvine got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eddie Allison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Peter Banks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute of the match, Ronnie Radcliffe got a very nice opportunity to score, but Peter Banks was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Grindelwald Academy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
