Spectators: 6600 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Adam Alsford started the match with the kick off. Louie Davis struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Andre Saxton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cambridge Athletic. Louie Davis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Saxton having to interfere. Andre Saxton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louie Davis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cambridge Athletic's Greg Ottaway was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Andre Saxton in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A hard shot by Vincent Banks from long distance, 11 minutes into the match, got Andre Saxton's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. A collision led to Northwich getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Brian Hopker hit a great ball. Louie Davis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Andre Saxton when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 17th minute Philip Ward shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charlie Corby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cambridge Athletic's Tommy Evans got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Louie Davis dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andre Saxton, 1-0. Greg Ottaway kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Charlie Corby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Ward in the 25th minute of play. Colin Best struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Andre Saxton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cambridge Athletic. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Louie Davis in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andre Saxton saved Northwich from getting behind. Charlie Corby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Spike Lightfoot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andre Saxton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louie Davis in the 42nd minute of play. Andre Saxton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louie Davis, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Louie Davis in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andre Saxton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had been going on for 48 minutes, Cambridge Athletic's Greg Ottaway got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Andre Saxton. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Louie Davis to strike the kick off in the second half. Andre Saxton came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Cambridge Athletic's Louie Davis. But to his dismay, Louie Davis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Louie Davis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Andre Saxton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tommy Evans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69thth minute of the game Tommy Evans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Northwich's Andre Saxton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Northwich's goal looked a bit too open when Will Hickson came free, but Andre Saxton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andre Saxton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Louie Davis, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Charlie Corby came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Northwich's Spike Lightfoot. But to his dismay, Spike Lightfoot quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 86th minute, Louie Davis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andre Saxton was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1.
