With a left leg Reg Hinchcliffe saved Mhurphys Fury F.C. from getting behind. Freddie Pinder hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes, Cambridge Athletic's Greg Ottaway shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Reg Hinchcliffe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cambridge Athletic reached it. 43 minutes into the game, Ken Lambert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mhurphys Fury F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cambridge Athletic the free kick. The Mhurphys Fury F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reg Hinchcliffe should have stopped the shot. In the 82nd match minute, Mhurphys Fury F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antony Hibbert to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Charlie Brazier sped through Mhurphys Fury F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reg Hinchcliffe. Vincent Banks took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reg Hinchcliffe. Mhurphys Fury F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Charlie Brazier in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reg Hinchcliffe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Mhurphys Fury F.C. getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Ken Lambert hit a great ball. Colin Best charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Colin Best the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd match minute, Cambridge Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Best to maneuver through the defense. Cambridge Athletic's attentive Colin Best managed to snatch the ball when Antony Hibbert made a throw-in in the 95th minute of the game. Charlie Brazier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cambridge Athletic's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
