Spectators: 7600 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andy Baird started the match with the kick off. Mihail Micescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Vit Coin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Edgard Aires came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Roma AS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgard Aires couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vit Coin in the 20th minute of play forced Newcastle-under-Lyme's goalkeeper Andrew Rea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrew Rea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Aires, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25th play minutes Vit Coin shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Andrew Rea and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 29th minute Edgard Aires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Rea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Roma AS fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Roma AS's Vit Coin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Newcastle-under-Lyme booed when Roma AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Fuller didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th match minute, Roma AS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vit Coin to maneuver through the defense. Andrew Rea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vit Coin in the 38th minute of the match. In the 39th minute Vit Coin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Rea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgard Aires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vit Coin to make the kick off. Andrew Rea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vit Coin in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Vit Coin could shoot a difficult shot in the 58th minute, which Andrew Rea however easily saved by the left post. Han Chang Yue hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Newcastle-under-Lyme's Joey Adams got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Newcastle-under-Lyme's goalkeeper Andrew Rea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Newcastle-under-Lyme's Andrew Wardman was substituted for Gordon Locking. After having played for 84 minutes, Vit Coin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Roma AS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vit Coin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Newcastle-under-Lyme made a substitution. Tod Whitford replaced Sam Neville. Vit Coin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Andrew Rea came out and tried to block the shot, but Vit Coin slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 88th minute. Andrew Rea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vit Coin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Roma AS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
