After 26 played minutes Belfast Celtic FC got a freekick which was hit by Gareth Jefferson. The audience was convinced that Arkadiusz Skirzynski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marc Sawbridge was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Albert Ainsworth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Sawbridge having to interfere. Joey Downs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Belfast Celtic FC booed when ᑕƗƬϒ ᗯᗩᒪᒪᔕ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Lockwood didn't get a good kick on the ball. Belfast Celtic FC's Derek Lyons shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 41st minute of play. The shot was stopped by George Whittaker but with some difficulty. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marc Sawbridge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute, Gez Gardner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jay Oates could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but George Whittaker made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joey Downs was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, ᑕƗƬϒ ᗯᗩᒪᒪᔕ's Albert Ainsworth got a free kick in the 57th minute. Cody Beck's late challenge caught a ᑕƗƬϒ ᗯᗩᒪᒪᔕ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cody Beck helped the player get up and apologised. Marc Sawbridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arkadiusz Skirzynski in the 64th minute of play. Belfast Celtic FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Albert Ainsworth 69 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Henry Lockwood hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 77th match minute, ᑕƗƬϒ ᗯᗩᒪᒪᔕ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiusz Skirzynski to maneuver through the defense. Jay Oates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Whittaker having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Joey Downs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Whittaker. ᑕƗƬϒ ᗯᗩᒪᒪᔕ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joey Downs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jay Oates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joey Downs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but George Whittaker read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Despite being the better team, ᑕƗƬϒ ᗯᗩᒪᒪᔕ failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
