The audience thought a goal was coming when Vit Coin got free with Marc Sawbridge in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Vit Coin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jim Tipton in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrew Simmons saved Roma AS from getting behind. Chris Johnson kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Belfast Celtic FC's Marc Sawbridge got control of the ball when Mihail Micescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 36 minutes Belfast Celtic FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mihail Micescu who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Neil Darnbrooke almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Belfast Celtic FC's Marc Sawbridge did a great save. 38 minutes into the match, Vit Coin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marc Sawbridge. Belfast Celtic FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vit Coin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Mihail Micescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Sawbridge having to interfere. Andrew Simmons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Johnson, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, Vit Coin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roma AS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belfast Celtic FC's goalkeeper Marc Sawbridge, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Vit Coin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Roma AS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 69th minute Edgard Aires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Sawbridge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brandon Littlechild kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the game, Vit Coin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Marc Sawbridge was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vit Coin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marc Sawbridge having to make a save. Marc Sawbridge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihail Micescu in the 82nd minute of the match. Edgard Aires might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marc Sawbridge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgard Aires ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Chris Johnson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Belfast Celtic FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vit Coin came free, but Marc Sawbridge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Roma AS fully deserved thier win.
