Marc Donaldson made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Jeff Maginnis sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Longley in the 8th minute of play forced Lewisham's goalkeeper Marc Donaldson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lewisham's Marc Donaldson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Lewisham from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute, Peacehaven's Maik Clark ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marc Donaldson. Marc Donaldson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Marc Donaldson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Longley in the 15th minute of play. Marc Donaldson was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Peter Longley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Peter Longley really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Peter Longley dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marc Donaldson, 3-0. 25 minutes into the game, Peacehaven's Kiera Holt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marc Donaldson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Kiera Holt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marc Donaldson having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Lewisham's goalkeeper Marc Donaldson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kiera Holt. Marc Donaldson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Longley in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Longley in the 33rd minute of play forced Lewisham's goalkeeper Marc Donaldson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Peacehaven's goal looked a bit too open when Owen Whittaker came free, but Spike Sharpe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes Peacehaven's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Owen Whittaker who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Owen Whittaker almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peacehaven's Spike Sharpe did a great save. Marc Donaldson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Longley, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Peter Longley in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marc Donaldson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peter Longley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Marc Donaldson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geoff Rogers to strike the kick off in the second half. Jeff Maginnis hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. When Peter Longley came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Peacehaven fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Longley couldn't finish the play. Lewisham's Marc Donaldson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Longley in the 60th minute of play. Marc Donaldson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiera Holt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 minutes of play, Peacehaven's Kiera Holt made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marc Donaldson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute Kiera Holt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Donaldson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Longley took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marc Donaldson. Marc Donaldson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 89 minutes into the match, Lewisham's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Longley came free, but Marc Donaldson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Peacehaven's Kirk Lightbody got a free kick in the 91st minute. Geoff Rogers struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Spike Sharpe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lewisham. The supporters of Lewisham booed when Peacehaven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Maginnis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peacehaven walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
