In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind BUBASAUR's goalkeeper Isaac William Russell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, BUBASAUR's goal looked a bit too open when John Scott came free, but Isaac William Russell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the game, Bobby Acheson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BUBASAUR's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rotherham the free kick. In the 10th match minute, BUBASAUR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bobby Acheson to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th match minute, Rotherham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Paisley to maneuver through the defense. Johnnie Postolan kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Larry Hughes struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Derek Rashleigh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BUBASAUR. Rotherham's Derek Rashleigh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Hughes in the 23rd minute of play. Derek Rashleigh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Houghton, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. With a little luck, BUBASAUR's Isaac William Russell got control of the ball when John Scott tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ivor Norton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Isaac William Russell came out and tried to block the shot, but Ivor Norton slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 29th minute. Vincent Houghton took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Derek Rashleigh. Derek Rashleigh dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Isaac William Russell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivor Norton in the 36th minute of play. 37 minutes into the game, Julian Waddington recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Isaac William Russell. Julian Waddington showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Vincent Houghton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Rashleigh having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Larry Hughes had to leave the field with a concussion. BUBASAUR made a substitution. Bruce McGuinness replaced Larry Hughes. Greg Land hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Vincent Houghton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Derek Rashleigh showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 46th minute Bruce McGuinness shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derek Rashleigh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vincent Houghton made a kick off. In the 56th minute John Scott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac William Russell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 58 minutes, Vincent Houghton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BUBASAUR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vincent Houghton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Derek Rashleigh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Houghton in the 60th minute of the match. BUBASAUR's Isaac William Russell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phillip Clayton in the 61st minute of play. If Ivor Norton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Scott in the 64th minute of play forced BUBASAUR's goalkeeper Isaac William Russell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Vincent Houghton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Derek Rashleigh was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. When Vincent Houghton came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the BUBASAUR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vincent Houghton couldn't finish the play. Derek Rashleigh was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bruce McGuinness showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 77 minute of play. Isaac William Russell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ivor Norton's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Isaac William Russell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Scott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute Ivor Norton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isaac William Russell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent Houghton's late challenge caught a Rotherham's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vincent Houghton helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rotherham booed when BUBASAUR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Houghton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Derek Rashleigh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Houghton in the 93rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruce McGuinness got free with Derek Rashleigh in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched BUBASAUR eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
