Sam Neville kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Alastair Nash made in the 9th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Andy Baird immediately put the ball in play. After 11 played minutes Newcastle-under-Lyme got a freekick which was hit by Peter Baum. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Henry Lockwood managed to get in a good position for a shot. ᑕƗƬϒ ᗯᗩᒪᒪᔕ's supporters rose to their feet, but Henry Lockwood was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrew Rea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Peter Baum during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Peter Baum hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Arkadiusz Skirzynski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andrew Rea made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Arkadiusz Skirzynski sent off a good shot on target. Andrew Rea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arkadiusz Skirzynski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Charlie Bale got free with Andrew Rea in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrew Rea stood somewhat misplaced when Gez Gardner came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 35 minute. After 38 played minutes ᑕƗƬϒ ᗯᗩᒪᒪᔕ got a freekick which was hit by Charlie Bale. After 48 minutes of play, ᑕƗƬϒ ᗯᗩᒪᒪᔕ's Gez Gardner made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andrew Rea was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

During the 56th minute of the match Charlie Bale completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Charlie Bale a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 59th minute, Talha Serimer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. George Whittaker made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Tod Alderdice sent off a good shot on target. George Whittaker was a little too slow when Tod Alderdice got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 2-1. Calum Coleman hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 88th match minute, ᑕƗƬϒ ᗯᗩᒪᒪᔕ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Ainsworth to maneuver through the defense. George Whittaker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Baird in the 95th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in ᑕƗƬϒ ᗯᗩᒪᒪᔕ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 98th minute. Penalty! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Newcastle-under-Lyme had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
