Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Vincent Houghton got the match started through his kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Houghton in the 6th minute of play forced Workington's goalkeeper Don Griffiths to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Vincent Houghton made a precise shot to the right of Don Griffiths. Workington's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Workington booed when BUBASAUR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommy Browning didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaac William Russell was a little too slow when Jim Haylock got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-2. Vincent Houghton scored 1-3 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Don Griffiths, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Don Griffiths made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Larry Hughes in the 23rd minute of play. Workington's Don Griffiths played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Larry Hughes in the 25th minute of play. Don Griffiths took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Houghton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Vincent Houghton made a precise shot to the right of Don Griffiths. Workington's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Isaac William Russell was a little too slow when Pierce Porter got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 2-4. In the 36th minute, Tommy Browning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th match minute, BUBASAUR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Houghton to maneuver through the defense. BUBASAUR's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Pierce Porter scored to the left of an out of position Isaac William Russell, making the score, 3-4. Vincent Houghton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 48 played minutes Workington got a freekick which was hit by Jim Haylock. The Workington players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BUBASAUR were winning 3-4.

When Workington's Pierce Porter in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BUBASAUR's goalie prevented a goal. 56 minutes into the game, Workington's Pierce Porter nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaac William Russell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Houghton in the 60th minute of play forced Workington's goalkeeper Don Griffiths to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Larry Hughes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Don Griffiths. That made the score 4-5 in the 61 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Pierce Porter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Workington's supporters rose to their feet, but Pierce Porter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaac William Russell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vincent Houghton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Don Griffiths read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Vincent Houghton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Don Griffiths. That made the score 4-7 in the 74 minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Workington's goalkeeper Don Griffiths had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Larry Hughes. Vincent Houghton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Don Griffiths came out and tried to block the shot, but Vincent Houghton slotted it home off the left post making it 4-8 in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, Bradley Topham ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isaac William Russell was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-8. Isaac William Russell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlton Inman, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Bradley Topham notched a goal, 6-8, to the right of BUBASAUR's Isaac William Russell. Isaac William Russell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Workington's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Larry Hughes 93 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 6-9. Isaac William Russell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierce Porter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
