Philip Duke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daryl Rashleigh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Owen Hopker having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daryl Rashleigh in the 13th minute of play forced Intrusive Thoughts's goalkeeper Owen Hopker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 minutes, Willie Adams mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Intrusive Thoughts and the Brimhaven FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute, Willie Adams hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Daryl Rashleigh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damien Fish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Hopker having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Brimhaven FC's goalkeeper Kenneth E. White had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrew Wild. In the 22nd minute Daryl Rashleigh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Owen Hopker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Intrusive Thoughts's Jim Bannister got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 32 minutes, Theo Gates mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brimhaven FC and the Intrusive Thoughts players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 33rd minute, Theo Gates hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jim Bannister had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Brimhaven FC's zone, Jim Bannister stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kenneth E. White came out of the goal and Jim Bannister tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damien Fish stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brimhaven FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! Daryl Rashleigh kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Joey Gillespie took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Owen Hopker to make any attempt to save it. Brimhaven FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Intrusive Thoughts had controlled the match.
