Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gerry Hutchinson took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Triquetra AFC's Dennis Salmon in 3 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Jimmy Seaward guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Dennis Salmon put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jimmy Seaward. Willie Talbot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimmy Seaward made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Salmon in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Humphreys in the 15th minute of play forced Waterloo and South Bank's goalkeeper Jimmy Seaward to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Salmon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Seaward having to interfere. When Willie Talbot came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Triquetra AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Willie Talbot couldn't finish the play. Jimmy Seaward didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dennis Salmon went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Waterloo and South Bank's zone, Dennis Salmon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmy Seaward came out of the goal and Dennis Salmon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Seth Sheridan charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seth Sheridan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Seth Sheridan kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the game, Dennis Salmon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Jimmy Seaward was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Waterloo and South Bank's Jimmy Seaward played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Salmon in the 40th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Salmon in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmy Seaward saved Waterloo and South Bank from getting behind. Jimmy Seaward took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Salmon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dennis Salmon in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimmy Seaward prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 47 played minutes Triquetra AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jimmy Spencer.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dennis Salmon stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jimmy Seaward made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dennis Salmon in the 56th minute of play. With a little luck, Waterloo and South Bank's Jimmy Seaward got control of the ball when Dennis Salmon tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerry Hutchinson in the 59th minute of play forced Triquetra AFC's goalkeeper Sammy Nethercot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Jimmy Seaward managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Triquetra AFC's Dennis Salmon fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 64th minute Damien Higgins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Nethercot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dennis Salmon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dennis Salmon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimmy Seaward made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Dennis Salmon sent off a good shot on target. Vince Middlewood hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Dennis Salmon might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimmy Seaward. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dennis Salmon ran back to his position shaking his head. Seth Sheridan hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Waterloo and South Bank's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Dennis Salmon scored to the left of an out of position Jimmy Seaward, making the score, 1-6. A collision led to Waterloo and South Bank getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Eddy Beadel hit a great ball. Triquetra AFC's Dennis Salmon got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Dennis Salmon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Triquetra AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-7. After a defensive mix-up in Waterloo and South Bank's zone, James Humphreys stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jimmy Seaward came out of the goal and James Humphreys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd match minute, Waterloo and South Bank was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seth Sheridan to maneuver through the defense. Jimmy Seaward showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Salmon, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. If James Humphreys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
