After 7 played minutes Waterloo and South Bank got a freekick which was hit by Gerry Hutchinson. 10 minutes into the game, Waterloo and South Bank's Damien Higgins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Liam Dickens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Liam Dickens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damien Higgins in the 14th minute of the match. Watchet's Liam Dickens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damien Higgins in the 16th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Glenn Slade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Watchet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Waterloo and South Bank the free kick. After 16 played minutes Watchet got a freekick which was hit by Glenn Slade. Watchet's Liam Dickens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerry Hutchinson in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Waterloo and South Bank getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Seth Sheridan hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Watchet's Alfred Bowen tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Liam Dickens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien Higgins, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 31st minute Andrew Blanchflower shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liam Dickens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waterloo and South Bank's Jimmy Seaward played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfred Bowen in the 32nd minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerry Hutchinson was the one to do the kick off. Liam Dickens made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerry Hutchinson in the 89th minute. Liam Dickens was a little too slow when Damien Higgins got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 91st minute. The score was now 1-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Waterloo and South Bank had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
