Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Seth Crawshaw started the match with the kick off. Rory Brownlee kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Joshua Mansfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Leigh Hoopman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Ambleside's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Mansfield came free, but Leigh Hoopman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leigh Hoopman was a little too slow when Seth Crawshaw got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Ambleside's zone, Rory Brownlee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leigh Hoopman came out of the goal and Rory Brownlee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Oadby's Seth Crawshaw dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Joshua Mansfield took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Leigh Hoopman to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Johnnie England managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oadby's supporters rose to their feet, but Johnnie England was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leigh Hoopman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leigh Hoopman was a little too slow when Joshua Mansfield got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 5-0. 29 minutes into the match, Ambleside's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Mansfield came free, but Leigh Hoopman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leigh Hoopman made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seth Crawshaw in the 30th minute. Bernard Beaumont's late challenge caught a Oadby's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernard Beaumont helped the player get up and apologised. Leigh Hoopman made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Seth Crawshaw sent off a good shot on target. Ambleside's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Seth Crawshaw scored to the left of an out of position Leigh Hoopman, making the score, 6-0. Leigh Hoopman made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Seth Crawshaw sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, Joshua Mansfield dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leigh Hoopman, 7-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Ian Moyle made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Jerome Layfield notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Ambleside's Leigh Hoopman. Leigh Hoopman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Ambleside getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Danny Wright hit a great ball. Leigh Hoopman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Seth Crawshaw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the game, Gerry Cawood was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oadby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ambleside the free kick. Gerry Cawood hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute Seth Crawshaw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leigh Hoopman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Oadby's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Clifford came free, but Kamil Grabara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Willie Dowie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oadby made a substitution. Martyn Jennings replaced Joshua Mansfield. Ambleside's Leigh Hoopman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martyn Jennings in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Seth Crawshaw notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Ambleside's Leigh Hoopman. Leigh Hoopman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Leigh Hoopman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnnie England went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score. Ambleside's Leigh Hoopman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seth Crawshaw in the 87th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Seth Crawshaw in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leigh Hoopman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leigh Hoopman came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Oadby's Martyn Jennings. But to his dismay, Martyn Jennings quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. When the referee ended the match the Oadby players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
