The referee showed Miles Mabbutt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Yapton got a freekick which was hit by Miles Mabbutt. The supporters of Yapton booed when Tenbury Wells was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bob Garforth didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes in the game Geoff McParland got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Geoff McParland took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Greg Reddington to make any attempt to save it. Geoff McParland took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Greg Reddington. Greg Reddington dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Tenbury Wells's Greg Reddington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Tenbury Wells from getting a goal against them. Greg Reddington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geoff McParland, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Austin Trueman was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Ciarán Jones cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Greg Reddington was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Tenbury Wells getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bob Garforth hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the match, Geoff McParland notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Tenbury Wells's Greg Reddington. Greg Reddington was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 62nd minute, Geoff McParland made a precise shot to the right of Greg Reddington. Tenbury Wells's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 64th match minute, Tenbury Wells was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bob Garforth to maneuver through the defense. After 70 played minutes Tenbury Wells got a freekick which was hit by Bob Garforth. Marcus King took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Austin Trueman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kenny Wicks hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Miles Mabbutt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yapton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. A sloppy throw-in by Shane Fenwick in the 88th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Yapton's Stiff Browne. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miles Mabbutt in the 90th minute of play forced Tenbury Wells's goalkeeper Greg Reddington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Yapton had played much better football throughout.
