Flamengo's 柯誉海 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoff McParland in the 5th minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, Yapton's Geoff McParland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 柯誉海 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 13th minute Geoff McParland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 柯誉海 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yapton's Marcus King played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rain Kuusk in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Geoff McParland came free, but 柯誉海 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Menderes Özdoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Ciarán Jones notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Flamengo's 柯誉海. 柯誉海 was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 柯誉海 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geoff McParland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Flamengo booed when Yapton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stiff Browne didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Keith Ripley in the 33rd minute really tested Marcus King's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Freddie Boston succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 36th playminute. Menderes Özdoa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Marcus King made a huge save. In the 44th match minute, Flamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lopez Riopedre to maneuver through the defense. 柯誉海 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Stone in the 46th minute of the match.

Flamengo were furious when Tod Theobold was red carded, 51 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Tod Theobold hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. If Tony Stone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus King showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ergün Senih, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 64 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Ciarán Jones came free, but 柯誉海 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus King took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ergün Senih, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Yapton defense, Ergün Senih kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus King. The Yapton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus King should have stopped the shot. Menderes Özdoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Marcus King tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 柯誉海 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tony Stone in the 77th minute. With 78 minutes on the clock, Justin Leatherdale commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee gave Flamengo a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Keith Ripley, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Yapton's Marcus King. 3-3. Menderes Özdoa charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Menderes Özdoa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Menderes Özdoa. Jez Peacock took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for 柯誉海. Flamengo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 柯誉海 came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Yapton's Tony Stone. But to his dismay, Tony Stone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Menderes Özdoa scored 4-4 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcus King, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcus King made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ergün Senih in the 94th minute of play. Marcus King showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ergün Senih in the 98th minute of the match.
