The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Ash Taylor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Gomersal AFC's goalkeeper Mateo Romo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mbaka Mbabaotu. After 15 minutes, 许俊鸿 made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Max Ridsdale tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 19 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Anderson Pernambucano sped through Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Max Ridsdale. In the 21st match minute, Gomersal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Tonkin to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ash Taylor in the 22nd minute of play forced Gomersal AFC's goalkeeper Mateo Romo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mateo Romo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ash Taylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes into the game, Gomersal AFC's Anderson Pernambucano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Max Ridsdale made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers 许俊鸿 in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Max Ridsdale saved Autocares Vázquez Olmedo from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kiera Archer got free with Mateo Romo in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mbaka Mbabaotu made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after 许俊鸿 fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 61st minute, Gomersal AFC's 许俊鸿 dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Max Ridsdale was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 许俊鸿 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 63 minute of play. Max Ridsdale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Millan Matas, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. With his leg Max Ridsdale managed to avoid a goal in the 70thth minute, when Gomersal AFC's 许俊鸿 fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 70 minutes into the game, 许俊鸿 lined in a short shot 0-9 behind a frustrated Max Ridsdale. Max Ridsdale made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Blair Neill sent off a good shot on target. Gomersal AFC's Millan Matas got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, 许俊鸿 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gomersal AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. 许俊鸿 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Max Ridsdale made a huge save. 85 minutes into the match, Autocares Vázquez Olmedo's Ash Taylor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateo Romo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Gomersal AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Autocares Vázquez Olmedo:s goal. Mateo Romo went to the wrong direction when Mbaka Mbabaotu was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Aziz Solossa kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Gomersal AFC's Ty Dunlop tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Anderson Pernambucano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Max Ridsdale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Anderson Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Max Ridsdale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gomersal AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
