Mateo Romo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Banks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 22 played minutes Memphis Grizzlies got a freekick which was hit by Calvin Croft. In the 29th minute Calvin Croft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Romo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th match minute, Gomersal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Husband to maneuver through the defense. Anderson Pernambucano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mattias Sawyer came out and tried to block the shot, but Anderson Pernambucano slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. Stuart Banks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateo Romo having to interfere. Mateo Romo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvin Croft, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After 43 minutes, Billy Watkinson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Gomersal AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 played minutes Memphis Grizzlies got a freekick which was hit by Billy Watkinson. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ty Hislop in the 46th minute of play forced Gomersal AFC's goalkeeper Mateo Romo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Millan Matas took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mattias Sawyer. Mattias Sawyer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Stuart Banks made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Stuart Banks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute Anderson Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Sawyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Stuart Banks reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mateo Romo. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 62nd minute Stuart Banks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Romo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Ty Hislop managed to get in a good position for a shot. Memphis Grizzlies's supporters rose to their feet, but Ty Hislop was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mateo Romo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Memphis Grizzlies made a substitution. Jack Greenfield replaced Calvin Croft. Mateo Romo made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Ty Hislop sent off a good shot on target. 78 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's goal looked a bit too open when Blair Neill came free, but Mattias Sawyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Ty Hislop got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute, Memphis Grizzlies's Ty Hislop dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. In the 94thth minute of the game Ty Hislop who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gomersal AFC's Mateo Romo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 96th minute Ty Hislop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateo Romo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateo Romo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ty Hislop in the 97th minute of the match. The Memphis Grizzlies players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
