Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 71st minute of the match, Marlon Mumford tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Max Ridsdale saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 74th minute, Zabal Aizpurua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the game, Marlon Mumford recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Max Ridsdale. Keith Ripley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Kiera Archer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of 柯誉海. Flamengo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kiera Archer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Flamengo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
