Garstang AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 许俊鸿 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gomersal AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garstang AFC the free kick. Kris Jewson came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mateo Romo could save by the left post. In the 40th minute, Remigiusz Purzycki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 许俊鸿 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jude Taylor charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jude Taylor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th minute, Jude Taylor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 许俊鸿 to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Gomersal AFC's 许俊鸿 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nigel Hill. That made the score 1-6 after 71 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kris Jewson in the 76th minute of play forced Gomersal AFC's goalkeeper Mateo Romo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the game, Gomersal AFC's 许俊鸿 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nigel Hill made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. Mateo Romo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kris Jewson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Glenn Taylor got a throw-in 96 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jude Taylor. The Garstang AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gomersal AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Gomersal AFC.
