Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tathan McFrank kicked off to start the match. Brenainn Gough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boethis Cooney, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Derryheena's zone, Séamus Myler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baine Ramsey came out of the goal and Séamus Myler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the match, Derryheena's goal looked a bit too open when Tathan McFrank came free, but Baine Ramsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baine Ramsey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tathan McFrank's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 14th minute, Séamus Myler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boethis Cooney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Brenainn Gough tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Séamus Myler got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 24 played minutes Knockatee got a freekick which was hit by Rordan Dillon. After 27 played minutes Knockatee got a freekick which was hit by Rordan Dillon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beothach Crowe in the 51st minute of play forced Derryheena's goalkeeper Baine Ramsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dewayne Perth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The tension between the Knockatee and the Derryheena players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brann Hunt took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Baine Ramsey. Derryheena's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tathan McFrank in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baine Ramsey saved Derryheena from getting behind. Aengus Scully's late challenge caught a Knockatee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aengus Scully helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Derryheena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aengus Scully to maneuver through the defense. Derryheena's Baine Ramsey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tathan McFrank in the 63rd minute of play. If Tathan McFrank had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beglan Tracy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brenainn Gough read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Baine Ramsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Séamus Myler in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Derryheena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bat Lester to maneuver through the defense. In the 92nd minute, Séamus Myler made a precise shot to the right of Baine Ramsey. Derryheena's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Knockatee's Tathan McFrank got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Knockatee were the better team. Knockatee's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
