Baine Ramsey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 11 minutes into the game, Boethis Cooney recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hayes Hutton. Boethis Cooney showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Shey McWill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Beglan Tracys short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Hayes Hutton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Beglan Tracy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derryheena's supporters rose to their feet, but Beglan Tracy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hayes Hutton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boethis Cooney sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 minutes of play, Derryheena's Beglan Tracy made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hayes Hutton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alex Robinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The wind increased when Shey McWill made the kick off in the second half. Bardain McCollion hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Alex Robinson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baine Ramsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shey McWill in the 63rd minute of the match. Alex Robinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Baine Ramsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baine Ramsey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shey McWill, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. If Shey McWill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Baine Ramsey throw himself and got hold of the ball when Shey McWill in the 74thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Liatroim's Alex Robinson got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alex Robinson in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baine Ramsey, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alex Robinson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baine Ramsey having to interfere. Baine Ramsey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shey McWill in the 82nd minute of the match. Alex Robinson struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Baine Ramsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Liatroim. Alex Robinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Baine Ramsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Derryheena's goalkeeper Baine Ramsey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Liatroim supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Liatroim would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
