Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rowen McLian kicked off to start the match. Auley Brennan stood somewhat misplaced when Rowen McLian came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 4 minute. After a rather tough play, Kilrean's Boddibevve Ramsey got a free kick in the 7th minute. Rowen McLian who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Auley Brennan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Quaid McJon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eoin McBjarton in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match Kilrean got a corner. Gormanstown AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cianán McCready ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kilrean's Cianán McCready was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Quaid McJon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Rowen McLian who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Auley Brennan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rowen McLian did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Auley Brennan 28 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Eoin McBjarton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eoin McBjarton in the 36th minute of play forced Gormanstown AFC's goalkeeper Quaid McJon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bel Todd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Auley Brennan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bel Todd, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Blaire McStephen kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Eoin McBjarton made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Kilrean's Reilly Ramsey nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Quaid McJon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Auley Brennan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rowen McLian's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After having played for 61 minutes, Rowen McLian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gormanstown AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rowen McLian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute Rowen McLian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Auley Brennan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rowen McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Gormanstown AFC's goalkeeper Quaid McJon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reilly Ramsey. In the 72nd match minute, Kilrean was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boddibevve Ramsey to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Gormanstown AFC's Piers Ryan got a free kick in the 75th minute. Gormanstown AFC's Quaid McJon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Gormanstown AFC from getting a goal against them. After 79 minutes, Braedon Savic mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gormanstown AFC and the Kilrean players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th match minute, Gormanstown AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piers Ryan to maneuver through the defense. Eoin McBjarton struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Quaid McJon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilrean. Auley Brennan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rowen McLian in the 95th minute of play.
