Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Boyle Silke started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Ballinamult getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Boyle Silke hit a great ball. Brendan Lavine charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brendan Lavine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ballinamult's Gehan Beckett got a free kick in the 8th minute. A hard shot 9 in the game by Dermot Jameson from a close distance when the talented Breenan Cooney managed to make a qualified save. Ballinamult's players were relieved. Dermot Jameson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gehan Beckett made in the 15th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Boyle Silke. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blathma Taylor in the 16th minute of play forced Cork's goalkeeper Aubrey McPaul to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cork's Aubrey McPaul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brennon Savic in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Cork's goal looked a bit too open when Brennon Savic came free, but Aubrey McPaul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aubrey McPaul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bard Hughes in the 23rd minute of play. Aubrey McPaul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolan Gollogley in the 25th minute of the match. Breenan Cooney came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Cork's Dermot Jameson. But to his dismay, Dermot Jameson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Aubrey McPaul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brennon Savic, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 41 minutes, Tathan McBjarton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballinamult and the Cork players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave Cork a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Iarla Prunty, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ballinamult's Breenan Cooney. 2-0.

Dermot Jameson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brendan Lavine was shown his second yellow card after 57 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Cork's Brendan Lavine got a free kick in the 57th minute. Breenan Cooney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dermot Jameson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Iarla Prunty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cork's supporters rose to their feet, but Iarla Prunty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breenan Cooney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ballinamult made a substitution. Derin Gollogley replaced Bard Hughes. Ballinamult made a substitution. Barock McPaul replaced Boyle Silke. Dermot Jameson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Breenan Cooney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dermot Jameson in the 67th minute of play. Aubrey McPaul made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Brennon Savic sent off a good shot on target. Dermot Jameson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Breenan Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cork's Berke McOliver got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barock McPaul kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, Barock McPaul had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aubrey McPaul. Cork's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barock McPaul was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Cork's Aubrey McPaul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tathan McBrandon in the 95th minute of play. Barock McPaul took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aubrey McPaul. Aubrey McPaul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2.
