Spectators: 6764 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Cork's Bedilia Deery got a free kick in the 6th minute. The supporters of Cork booed when Barraduff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brefni McGlenn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dermot Jameson in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basil Ferguson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 10thth minute of the game Dermot Jameson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barraduff's Basil Ferguson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aubrey McPaul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blanche McSteven in the 12th minute of play. Dermot Jameson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil Ferguson having to interfere. After 16 played minutes Cork got a freekick which was hit by Berke McOliver. If Dermot Jameson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Barraduff getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Ros McBrand hit a great ball. Barraduff's Bradain McGlenn got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Basil Ferguson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iarla Prunty, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Basil Ferguson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dermot Jameson in the 28th minute of the match. When Dermot Jameson came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Cork fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dermot Jameson couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Barraduff booed when Cork was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bedilia Deery didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dermot Jameson struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Basil Ferguson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cork. When Cork's Dermot Jameson in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barraduff's goalie prevented a goal. Dermot Jameson might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Basil Ferguson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dermot Jameson ran back to his position shaking his head. 40 minutes into the match, Barraduff's goal looked a bit too open when Dermot Jameson came free, but Basil Ferguson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 58 minutes, Bedilia Deery mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cork and the Barraduff players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Cork got a freekick which was hit by Bedilia Deery. In the 68th match minute, Cork was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donoghue Ramsey to maneuver through the defense. Bradain McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Aubrey McPaul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dermot Jameson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barraduff's Basil Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dermot Jameson in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Barraduff booed when Cork was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bedilia Deery didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute of the match Beineon Crowe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aubrey McPaul skillfully saved the ball. Bedilia Deery kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Baptist McBjarton made a great header on Barraduff's corner, it was just that Cork's Aubrey McPaul managed to reach the ball for a save. Dermot Jameson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil Ferguson having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
