Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Drumoghill's Emmet Brennan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Ballinamult got a freekick which was hit by Rordan McIan. Emmet Brennan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Breenan Cooney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmet Brennan in the 9th minute of play. Boyle Silke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Harley McWill made a huge save. Harley McWill made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Fiachra McBjarton sent off a good shot on target. Beccan McPhil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Breenan Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boyle Silke got free with Harley McWill in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Harley McWill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolan Gollogley in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st play minute Brennon Savic came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Harley McWill. 1-0. In the 24th match minute, Drumoghill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fergus Hughes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fergus Hughes in the 29th minute of play forced Ballinamult's goalkeeper Breenan Cooney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fergus Hughes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Breenan Cooney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Derin Gollogley took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Harley McWill to make any attempt to save it. Drumoghill's Harley McWill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Drumoghill from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beccan McPhil during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th match minute, Drumoghill was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beccan McPhil to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Drumoghill's goal looked a bit too open when Brennon Savic came free, but Harley McWill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 minutes, Rordan McIan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballinamult and the Drumoghill players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brain Matthews was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 45th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Harley McWill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brennon Savic in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Boyle Silke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Boyle Silke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harley McWill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ballinamult booed when Drumoghill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brain Matthews didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 59th minute, Brennon Savic left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballinamult fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 61st minute Brennon Savic shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harley McWill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Drumoghill's Harley McWill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derin Gollogley in the 62nd minute of play. Harley McWill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolan Gollogley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Brain Matthews managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drumoghill's supporters rose to their feet, but Brain Matthews was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Breenan Cooney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 70 minutes into the game, Ballinamult's Bard Hughes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harley McWill made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After 79 played minutes Ballinamult got a freekick which was hit by Tathan McBjarton. After having played for 80 minutes, Fergus Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drumoghill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fergus Hughes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 minutes of play, Ballinamult's Tathan McBrandon made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Harley McWill was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Fergus Hughes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fergus Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breenan Cooney having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barock McPaul in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Harley McWill prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Drumoghill's Harley McWill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tathan McBrandon in the 90th minute of play. Harley McWill stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barock McPaul's shot from short distance in the 96th minute.
