In the 6th minute Braonain McLiam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tevin Coyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rory Deans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tevin Coyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braonain McLiam, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Rory Deans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geralt McCollion having to interfere. If Brennon McFrancise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Braonain McLiam made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Bressal Hamilton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geralt McCollion was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Brennon McFrancise could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Tevin Coyle made a huge save. Randal Cassin's late challenge caught a Fahy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Randal Cassin helped the player get up and apologised. When Braonain McLiam came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Fahy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Braonain McLiam couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the match, Cloongowla's goalkeeper Tevin Coyle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Braonain McLiam. Despite being the better team, Cloongowla failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
