Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Finnigan McMichel took the kick off in the first half of the match. Finbar McBrand recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Donegan McJames managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garr FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Donegan McJames was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernard Cooney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ballyhook FC booed when Garr FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brennen Ryan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Ballyhook FC defense, Finnigan McMichel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernard Cooney. The Ballyhook FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernard Cooney should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Ballyhook FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Beineon McCready hit a great ball. If Donegan McJames had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Finnigan McMichel in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernard Cooney saved Ballyhook FC from getting behind. A collision led to Ballyhook FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Banon Ryan hit a great ball. Blathma McWill made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Suibhne McCollion. If Suibhne McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Ballyhook FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Garr FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Finbar McBrand was the one to do the kick off. Bernard Cooney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Finnigan McMichel in the 56th minute of the match. When Fionntán Hutton came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Ballyhook FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fionntán Hutton couldn't finish the play. If Brennen Ryan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Finbar McBrand left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ballyhook FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Finbar McBrand scored 2-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Breffni Tracy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finbar McBrand in the 90th minute of play forced Garr FC's goalkeeper Breffni Tracy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Braoin Hunt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garr FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballyhook FC the free kick. A collision led to Garr FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Braoin Hunt hit a great ball.
