Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Emmet Brennan kicked off to start the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Quinton McJohn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drumoghill's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quinton McJohn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Drumoghill booed when Barraduff was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lee McFrancise didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fergus Hughes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Basil Ferguson made a huge save. Emmet Brennan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Barraduff's Basil Ferguson got control of the ball when Fergus Hughes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harley McWill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradain McGlenn in the 13th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Drumoghill's Brain Matthews ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Basil Ferguson. Basil Ferguson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. A hard shot 25 in the game by Fergus Hughes from a close distance when the talented Basil Ferguson managed to make a qualified save. Barraduff's players were relieved. 30 minutes into the match, Drumoghill's goal looked a bit too open when Bradain McGlenn came free, but Harley McWill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Baptist McBjarton fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barraduff's protests and gave Baptist McBjarton a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Barraduff's Baptist McBjarton got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After 34 played minutes Barraduff got a freekick which was hit by Begg Deans. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When Fergus Hughes came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Drumoghill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fergus Hughes couldn't finish the play. Emmet Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Basil Ferguson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fergus Hughes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil Ferguson having to interfere. If Emmet Brennan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Drumoghill's Fergus Hughes in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barraduff's goalie prevented a goal. Emmet Brennan got in the 63rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Basil Ferguson handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bradain McGlenn got free with Harley McWill in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, Barraduff's goal looked a bit too open when Brain Matthews came free, but Basil Ferguson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Emmet Brennan came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Drumoghill fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emmet Brennan couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes into the game, Bradain McGlenn recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Harley McWill. Bradain McGlenn showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. If Beccan McPhil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basil Ferguson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emmet Brennan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Beccan McPhil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basil Ferguson. Barraduff's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beccan McPhil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Brain Matthews received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Basil Ferguson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basil Ferguson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmet Brennan in the 97th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Drumoghill had played much better football throughout.
