Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ballinamult's Boyle Silke started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Brigid Doherty managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Ballinamult's Boyle Silke fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gehan Savic charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gehan Savic the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 10th match minute, Derren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gehan Savic to maneuver through the defense. Gehan Savic got his second yellow card in the match during the 15th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Derren getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Gehan Savic hit a great ball. Rolan Gollogley succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Brigid Doherty made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Boyle Silke sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the game, Rolan Gollogley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Brigid Doherty was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In a very dangerous position, a player in Derren fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Brigid Doherty stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rolan Gollogley's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. In the 40th match minute, Ballinamult was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rordan McIan to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bragan McDecland to strike the kick off in the second half. Bragan McDecland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brigid Doherty came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballinamult's Barock McPaul. But to his dismay, Barock McPaul quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Brigid Doherty stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barock McPaul's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barock McPaul in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brigid Doherty saved Derren from getting behind. 80 minutes into the game, Ros Doherty was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derren's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballinamult the free kick. A collision led to Derren getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Ros Doherty hit a great ball. Brigid Doherty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tathan McBrandon in the 80th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Tathan McBrandon put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Brigid Doherty. Brennon Savic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Derren's Brigid Doherty played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barock McPaul in the 97th minute of play. There was no doubt that Ballinamult were the better team. Ballinamult's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
